The SX505J uses an algorithm for regulating temperatures that is four generations in the making. Controlling the coil's temperature precisely in real time helps prevent overheating, which can lead to issues like burning and scorching and ultimately results in better flavour and longer coil life.

In order to improve the DIY experience, the SXmini Vi Class is compatible with a variety of DIY accessories. The outside casings are removable, allowing users to swap out designs quickly and easily. The 505 software can be upgraded and personalised by purchasing the SX-Link upgrade tool.
